I thought of this arrangement when I first heard the song. I wanted to try and give the original a bit more elegance and class. Naturally, I needed help, so I asked Jenny and Jasmine to help me with bringing this idea to life. We slowed the tempo down to around 97bpm and minimized the amount of instruments to give it a more simple, organic, and elegant sound. Jenny, with her developed jazz piano skills, laid a full, rich, and colorful foundation for the song that Jasmine and I would work off of with great solos and choice of chord voicings. Jasmine, with her rich and dark toned voice was perfect for this part and delivered exactly what I was looking for with excellent style. The rest was just fillers that I filled up with a European/Classical Italian styled trumpet improvising, and a jazzy styled guitar solo during the rap part. Basically, what all this means is that this is one of my most proud arrangements. Jenny and Jasmine helped me deliver a version of Baby Don't Cry with grace, elegance, maturity, and sophistication. I'm SOOO satisfied with this collab!!!
